Vivian & Plato: More Than a Companion

Vivian & Plato: More Than a Companion
  by Esther Lee

Some dogs leave paw prints on your heart, Plato left them on every chapter of Vivian’s life. From the moment he arrived home, Plato has been more than a pet. He’s a certified psychiatric service dog, a champion by blood, and, most importantly, the steady heartbeat that helped Vivian through her toughest battles with mental health.

From Puppyhood to Graduation

Plato came into Vivian’s life when he was just eight weeks old, a small bundle of energy with bright eyes and a big future ahead.

Over the years, they’ve celebrated milestones together: Plato completed his positive training from Level 1 to Level 2, as he grew into the loyal companion Vivian could always count on.

When Life Became Overwhelming

At one point, the pressures of work became too much for Vivian. She began experiencing frequent panic attacks, so severe that she had to call an ambulance three times. Her doctor eventually advised her to start therapy.

Throughout that entire period, Plato never left her side.

From Companion to Lifeline

As Vivian worked through therapy and recovery, Plato became more than just a beloved dog. He became her partner in survival. Now a certified psychiatric service dog, Plato can sense when Vivian’s anxiety begins to build. He interrupts panic episodes, helps ground her, and brings her focus back to the present before fear can take over.

The Most Important Part of Life

Vivian is now stronger, more grounded, and able to manage her mental health — but she is the first to say she couldn’t have done it alone.

“Plato is the most important part of my life.” she shares.

Plato may have champion blood, but his greatest victory is the invisible one: helping his human heal, grow, and thrive.
